Bicycle Facility Enhancement

The Velogo Foundation is actively evaluating submitted projects for review.

Our project objectives are rooted in developing brick and mortar facilities related to the bicycle faciliites such as bicycle lanes, bike racks in rest areas, and/or other community projects that might include cycling memorials, bicycle art galleries, and the like. As we acquire funding, we expect to provide grants to qualified public projects.

Further, we have identified that processes that exist in many transportation departments often under recognize the needs of pedestrians and bicyclists as part of an integrated transportation solution. We intend to educate and lobby agencies in order to quantify the investment in such projects as they affect quality of life.

In the mean time we have the experience to facilitate community integration into a project. Our objective is to empower the bicycle community to become aware of projects in their back yard and then communicate this awareness to the business leaders and government leadership.

This builds a sense of ownership and stewardship within the community and thus increases the value of a community in economic and intangible terms.
